It is the intent of the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF SAVANNAH (HAS) to be aware of, to prepare for, to mitigate, to respond to, and to recover from emergency circumstances that may occur which could cause injury to persons and/or loss of property, or both.
HAS is committed to ensuring that residents have the information and ability to successfully prepare for their safety during potential hurricane disasters. When possible, preparation prior to an emergency is extremely important and should be accomplished as early as feasible. HAS will work in partnership with various agencies such as Chatham Emergency Management Agency (CEMA), the Red Cross, the Chatham County Health Department and the City of Savannah in the execution of all emergency
